The Art of The End

Offering support and solidarity through the process of the end of life.

A death doula (or death coach) is a person who works directly with someone who is dying to help them plan for their death: be it a death one hopes is far down the road, or one that is now in sight with a terminal diagnosis, or anywhere in between.

A death doula/death coach also works in concert with the dying person’s support network, providing supplemental scaffolding and respite support to: medical staff, hospice, mortuaries/funeral homes, and of course, the core support network (loved ones) of the person who is planning their best death.

Just as with storytelling, so with life: it’s important how well it is done, not how long. It doesn’t matter at what point you call a halt… only put a good closer on it.”
